i've been away to visit my sister and her "worldly" husband after many years of not seeing her...i don't even have her phone number as she lives overseas.
we just had a first family get together.
when she met me at the door i was ready for anything!
It's so wonderful how she greated you with open arms. How wonderful that now you can have time together.

Just a good sister, going out in service a few times a week with my kids.. organizing anything fun... playing with and watching everyones kids...but aparently its not worth shit. once you stop meetings and whatnot, you ARE THE PLAGUE!!
that is what i want to ask my jw wife now.....cause my sister (lesbian who left jw 35 years ago) does.....and several new friends here at jwd seem to as well.........so if she loves me....and they love me.....why can't they love each other too????......................oompa.

on the other hand... i have to say... she's not a designated speaker for the WTBS... she can say " i thank jeh for being here" but that doesn't mean that they agree with the context of her statement, or with what she says. you're picking it apart like she has some official speaking status and they "worded" it for her, but she's just some publisher.. maybe at best. she just said what she felt like saying.
it sure does seem like the wtbts is subtly edging jws towards actually worshipping the fds.
they're constantly reminding jws that all spiritual food is provided via the fds and how the wtbts are jehovah's chosen representatives.. and the nebulous hypothetical question that the wtbts has been asking of late of (paraphrased) 'will you accept and obey direction from the fds, no matter how strange it may appear?
' they insinuate that "in the last days," jws may be issued instructions that may, at first, appear to be outlandish, but that their very survival depends on it.. it was ominously mentioned at the last dc and was mentioned again several times in congregational meetings, especially during the book study which not surprisingly is the revelation book.. the first problem here is, the current gb, the very ones responsible for "providing food at the proper time" are not among the annoited.

It sounds like you're also refering to the HORRID email that was circulated to witnesses about some brothers talk who talked about everyone in bible times being obedient, and how today yes .... we should OBEY the FDS EVEN TO DEATH.. EVEN if they DIDN"T understand or it DIDNT MAKE SENSE what they were asking.. WOULDN"T YOU OBEY like noah did???????

I'm so sorry you're going thru a bad time. I'm so sorry they decided to throw you out. I'm 34 leaving the witnesses, and i agree, i want the life they took from me, but the more you look around on this board.. .We're young! it might sound corney, but can you imagine coming to this realization at 50?60? how horrible. i SO feel for those people , and they made it easier for me to see that there is SO much world out there. Some have said, when you leave the witnesses 6 million people wont talk to you, but 6billion will.. pretty good odds! You can start off fresh and new. Gotta find a good distraction, that's what finally turned around my attitude. Talk to girls! take one out! Go donate blood! Help the homeless! make a big list of things you've imagined throught the years you wanted to do/try and start checking them off!
There's such a big world out there to explore... time to move forward and be glad for each day!

when i was a hardcore jw, i closed my eyes and paid attention to the prayer, because i believed we were communicating with god.
what a privilege!
now, it has been some time since i closed my eyes when the jws pray.
My buddy who was all ready to get baptized, went over the questions and everything was NOT allowed to because he had his eyes open when he prayed. He also would like roll his neck while the prayer... the brothers knew he had neck/back issues, but aparently Jeh didn't like it and didn't think he was good enough! He ended up killing himself.
